Who we are

| The Monkton
Central School library is a busy place full of readers and
researchers! Helping them with this task are the Librarian,
Holly Esterline, and the Library Assistant, Jodi Rotax. Our
collection currently includes about 7000 books and videos.

| September:
Welcome (back); Kindergarteners are learning checkout
procedures, first graders are given more responsibility in checking
out books, and everyone is learning how to use the library |
| September:
DCF and Red Clover Books; we'll begin introducing these books to
students so they'll be ready to vote in April |
| October 2-13:
Fall Book Fair: The theme this season is "Destination: Book Fair
-- Read Around the World". Stay tuned for more

| January
19-March 5: Battle of the Books: Students in grades 3-6
will read from a list of books and be ready to go up against other
classrooms to answer questions about those books. |

Spring Book Fair: The theme this season is "Book Fair Diner --
